1 Large round country bread loaf
4 T butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 t red pepper flakes
3/4 c to 1 cup Mexican cheese blend (Monterey Jack, Cheddar, Queso Quesadilla and Asadero Cheese)
1/2 c (or more to taste) bacon crumbles
5-6 scallions, finely sliced
In sauce pan, add butter, minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until butter is melted and
garlic softened
Carefully slice bread in a cross hatch fashion; do not cut all the way through
Brush inside cuts and crust with melted butter mixture
Push cheese, bacon bits and scallions inside the cut bread
Cover in foil and back in 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes until cheese has melted.
