Tater Tot Surprise!

"Looking through the refrigerator, she found a package of meatloaf mix (ground beef, veal and pork) and Tater Tots in the freezer.


“Tater Tot Surprise!” she shouted out loud to herself. An easy quick dinner with all four food groups. Tater Tots, meat, peas and Campbell’s mushroom soup.


She finished scrubbing the remaining pots and pans, dried the big skillet and let the others dry on a towel. It was getting close to five o’clock and Jack and the kids would be home soon, no doubt hungry.


Ground meat went into the skillet to brown, oven turned to four hundred twenty five degrees, three fourths of a bag of petite green peas and bag of extra crispy Tater Tots taken from the freezer and the can of soup from the pantry. When the meat was cooked, she added the bag of peas and soup and some seasoned salt, stirred until mixed thoroughly, then spooned into a rectangular Pyrex baking dish. After lining up the frozen Tater Tots in neat rows, she put the dish into the oven to bake for about twenty to thirty minutes until the tots were golden brown and toasty."
